Alpaca
Alpaca yarn is one of the softest of all fibers. It is also one of the most versatile. Its hollow core fiber will keep you warmer than wool, but breathes when you need less warmth. Alpaca is naturally rain and wind resistent, and hypo-allergenic. Individuals with wool sensitivities can confortably wear Alpaca.
Woolworks is proud to be the exclusive representative for David Coffman, a local Alpaca breeder. Coffman's alpaca is sport weight, approximately 120 yards per skein, and knits well of #6 needles.
Plymouth Yarns
Plymouth is one of the largest producers of Alpaca.
